On Saturday, July 30th from 12pm-6pm, the Lakeland Magic will be holding their first backpack drive at the RP Funding Center, Lakland Magic Corporate office!
Kindergarten-5th grade students will receive FREE backpacks with school supplies! (As supplies last)
Parking is at 701 W Lime st, Lakeland in the GREEN lot at Gate 3
Also on Saturday, July 30th there is a ‘Play and learn’ event with Polk County’s early childhood resource providers and sponsored by NAACP Lakeland branch and Polk State College Early childhood Program.
This event is from 10am-2pm at Bryant Stadium, 1125 N. Florida Ave., Lakeland.
There will be:
- Book Giveaways!
- Hands-on activities!
- Information about local support resources!
While all families are welcomed, this event is designed specifically for families with young children.
